I have thought maybe I should have got the 50, but I know that this one will keep up with a band (was driving to play last Friday night and got caught in a snowstorm so I've yet to run it with a band). Overall, when I play this thing, I can't get over 1: how consistently great it sounds (sounds more like a guitar amp than a modelling amp) and 2: how much you get for your money. The guitar's volume knob can get you lots of range when playing this amp. 360mm x 183.5mm x 140mm 6.17lbs) Katana Head 30 watts internal 5' speaker. (THR10: 5watts per side (10 watts total) using two 3.12' speakers. But I prefer the Katana Head with 5' compared to a Yamaha THR-10. The other models on there are outside of what I look for so I can't really weigh in there. The Katana Heads 5' internal Speaker Sounds fine - its driven by 30 watts, but its low volume for practice. The "crunch" channel is fine if the gain is reduced. I find the Katana excels on the "clean" channel with the gain dimed. I did not buy it for the effects though and they do not detract from my enjoyment of this amp whatsoever. I guess they're handy on a ME-50, but I find they sound more toy like than my other.uh "actual" pedals. I'm not a fan of most Boss COSM effects I've used in the last 10 years anyhow.

Felt like more air moved on the bigger 100 combo.įorget about the effects in the Katana, in my opinion, they're not very good (could be my imagination, but that reverb is chock full of digital artifacts). I found the bigger cabinet sounded a little bit less boxy in the store (however, I didn't really crank it so this isn't huge).

Show me how.I bought the Katana 100 combo a month ago. You can find out in Band-in-a-Box® by clicking the "Add-ons" button in the StylePicker. Plenty of YT videos on M2 difference/advantage and no theres nothing better at the pricepoint. How do I know if I have XPro Styles PAKs or Xtra Styles PAKs?
